Meet JP Bonilla, a Certified Tennis Instructor by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). He is the Baytown Texas Tennis Ambassador and a Tennis Instructor at the Met Downtown. With over 15 years of experience, JP is dedicated to promoting tennis in the community by volunteering at local schools and organizing events.

Beauty's Community Garden is a nonprofit community garden located in Independence Heights–the first African American municipality in Texas and one of 40 food deserts in Houston. Our mission is to close the gap on food inequities while achieving a community culture of health and well-being. Beauty's Community Garden's programs, events, and educational materials focus on breaking the cycle of food insecurity, poor nutrition, and the resulting health outcomes for people within communities with limited access to fresh produce experience. We are committed to bringing awareness and impacting the lives of the residents in food desert communities.
