Willkommen! McKinney Oktoberfest is a beloved family tradition bringing authentic German culture, food, music, and fun to Historic Downtown McKinney. The festival is free to attend and offers something for everyone — from live music and dancing to games, competitions, and kids’ activities.

Choctaw VIP Biergarten

• Hofbrau “Masskrugstemmen” (Stein Holding Competition)
  Test your strength by holding a full liter stein at arm’s length for as long as you can.

  Celebrate Oktoberfest style at this family-friendly facial hair contest.
• 18th Annual Weenie Dog Races (now on two days!)
  Over 170 dachshunds (and “Wannabes” — all other breeds) compete to be crowned Top Dog. Registration is free through Eventbrite.
• Meet the Brewmaster Sessions
  Learn about the craft beers at Oktoberfest in these free sessions on W. Louisiana Street at the Bavarian Experience Stage. (21+ only)
• TUPPS Brat Eating Contest
  Who can eat the most brats in 8 minutes? Limited to the first 10 participants. Winner receives a prize package from TUPPS Brewery.

Ticket Terms and Refund Policy

All Sales Are Final

VIP Biergarten tickets are non-refundable. Once your purchase is complete, we are not able to issue refunds, credits, or exchanges for any reason, including scheduling conflicts, illness, travel changes, or a change of plans.

Please be certain of your dates and party size before you check out.

Rain or Shine

This is a rain or shine event. The VIP Biergarten operates in all typical weather, including rain, heat, wind, and cold. Tickets are not refunded due to weather.

Full Cancellation Exception

The only circumstance in which refunds are issued is a full cancellation of the festival.

If the festival is cancelled outright, VIP Biergarten ticket holders will receive an automatic refund to the original method of payment. No action is required on your part. Refunds are processed within 5 business days of the cancellation announcement, though your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit.

A refund is not triggered by:

• Rain, storms, or temperature

• A delay, temporary pause, or early close of any portion of the event

• Changes to the entertainment lineup, vendors, food, or beverage offerings

• Changes to hours of operation

• Crowd size, wait times, or line length

• Your inability to attend

Delays and Partial Interruptions

If conditions require us to pause activity for safety, we will resume as soon as it is safe to do so. A pause, delay, or shortened day does not constitute a cancellation and does not qualify for a refund.

Ticket Transfers

Tickets are transferable. If you cannot attend, you are welcome to give or sell your ticket to someone else.

We are not able to process transfers on your behalf, and we cannot replace tickets that are lost, stolen, duplicated, or purchased from an unauthorized reseller.

Entry Requirements

• VIP Biergarten access requires a valid VIP ticket presented at the entrance.

• Guests must be [21] or older to enter the VIP Biergarten. Valid government-issued photo ID is required.

• Entry may be refused or revoked for guests who are intoxicated, disruptive, or in violation of event rules. No refund is issued in these cases.
