A Funny Name for a Serious Cause....
My Dad, band mates and I were discussing some funny names for similar events and came up with this. After some research, found that an event with the same name had been done in Ontario. We spoke, and they said we could use the name and offered to send us their left over shirts to sell.
I was unsure about the name, but moved foward full steam ahead with my Grandmother's approval (who is a breast cancer survivor).
So, in 2008, i organized the 1st 2 shows, one in Kokomo, In and the other in Muncie, In. Both were very successful. So, another was organized for the following year, and again, in 2010, and again, and again.....!
All ages concert with great local artists, comedians, magicians, food, and atmosphere! everyone comes together to help!
Breast Cancer Fund/Awareness Raiser Concert. All proceeds go directly to Kokomo, IN area hospitals' mammogram assistance programs. This helps women who need a mammogram, but can't afford one. Early detection is the best protection!..... Mike Milligan
