19th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest & PotluckPotluck 2-3pm, Carving 3-4pm and judging at 4pm
Official Rules for the Pumpkin Carving Contest:
1) Pumpkins may be cleaned out at home. At least one pumpkin must be carved during the event, regardless of the number of pumpkins you have, to avoid disqualification. (If the pumpkin being carved during the event needs to be painted or items attached, this must be done during the event).
2) Competitors have ONE hour to carve their pumpkin and set up their display. Again, at least one pumpkin must be carved during the competition.
3) Judging will be on a scale of 15 with 5 being the best. Judging criteria will be as follows:Pumpkin Carving: Carved Pumpkin + Creative/Artistic Ability + Attention to DetailPumpkin Carving & Costumes: Carved Pumpkin + Theme Originality + Attention to Detail + Use of Props/Costumes
4) In the event of a tie, the judges will pull the winning name from a hat as the tiebreaker.
