The Latino Lifetime Achievement Award intends to exemplify and honor individuals who have exhibited continuous and selfless contributions to the Hispanic community of Pueblo in any one or more of the following areas: business, education, government, humanitarian, non-profit, philanthropic, politics, and social. The recognition also depicts the progress predicated on vision, dedication, hard work, and courage.
The 2025 Latino Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is Dr. Henry Roman. Henry has dedicated his professional life to the Pueblo community with a career that has covered the public education, higher education, and non-profit sectors. Dr. Roman retired as Superintendent of Pueblo School District 60, where he served in this capacity for eight years and worked within the District for a total of 30 years. During this time, he served as a deputy superintendent, teacher, principal, assistant principal, community liaison, along with a multitude of other positions. After his time with Pueblo School District 60, he remained very active within the education world and also served on several influential boards and commissions. He is a product of Pueblo School District 60 where he attended Bessemer Elementary, Keating Jr. High School, and Central High School. Dr. Roman is a graduate of Southern Colorado State College, Louisiana State University, and University of Northern Colorado.
