1838 Mountain Man Rendezvous

The 1838 Rendezvous 2026 will begin in 20 days!!! I hope everyone is as excited as I am!! Everyone is welcome at our Rendezvous!! Come as you are!! Primitive attire is not required but it is always welcome!
You will notice that we are early this year! We decided that since it is the 250th anniversary of the United States that by being early, we will not interfere with celebrating our independence and our freedom! What a wonderful time to be an American! The 1838 Rendezvous will be held June 24-28, 2026.
I am your Booshway for this year! My name is Carrie Gavin but most of you know me as frankie. I am honored to have been chosen to lead this years events along with my Segundo, Angie "Honeycomb" Lehto, aka my daughter!
We have lots of fun things on the agenda this year including:
Shooting events ( with pistol as well as rifle)
Hawk & Knife Throws
Atlal
Mountain Man Walk
Hawk Walk
Kids Games and Activities including beginning Hawk & Knife
Evening events including Rolling Pin Toss, Highlander Games, Candy Canons for the kids and for the adults
We have seminars scheduled:
Rope making
Brain Tanning
Bead Seminar
Horse Rides for the kids
AND MORE!!!
We are honored to have Jason Weaver serving Breakfast and Lunch this year. He will be set up next to the Roost so you can get your food with him and your drinks from Heather Strous at the Roost.
Early set up will begin on Monday, June 22 with NO early set up fee! You can register on Wednesday, June 24 with Dave, HeWho, Lehto at the registration booth next to the Roost.
There will be plenty of traders attending again this year also. Be sure to stop by and check out their merchandise. There will be everything that was available in 1838 for you to see and purchase. These traders have it all!!
Everyone is welcome at our Rendezvous!! 1838 Rendezvous is a teaching Rendezvous. We encourage the public to come down and participate in all of our activities and see what it was like to live in the days of the Mountain Man and Woman. We have rifles, hawks and knives available along with people to help you use them if you don't have your own.
Our gates are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. After that they are locked for security reasons while we rest from our active day so we can do it all again the next day!
