City Of Vista Leadership, I am the Principal of Veterans Elementary School Parade, Erika Gregg.
Our proud Staff, Faculty, students, and residents of Veterans would like to invite you to participate in the 17th Annual “Honor Our Veterans Parade,” scheduled for Friday, Nov 01, 2024.
The parade begins at 0700 a.m. in Chula Vista in the Otay Ranch Area 91913.
The parade committee invites veterans of all branches of service and all citizens of Chula Vista and San Diego County to walk or ride in the parade. If made available, we would especially like all war veterans to ride in cars or other vehicles. The event honors our veterans “All American heroes including firefighters, police, first responders, military, military families, Gold Star families, and fallen heroes.
The event is scheduled on the weekend before Veterans Day, so those who perished that day or worked as volunteers in the days following are always honored and remembered.
The categories for entries in the parade are bands/music, floats, military equipment and personnel, fire trucks, police and emergency vehicles and staff, and veterans and their organizations.
We ask that each entry have a patriotic theme to include the American flag; red, white, and blue decorations; a tribute to an American hero or heroes; and something that shows integrity and respect.
Family, friends, and community members of all ages are invited and encouraged to be along the parade route waving thank-you signs and flags. We encourage everyone also to wear red, white and blue clothes.
