17th Annual DOGTOBERFEST!!! Fundraiser for the Clark County SPCA

It’s almost that time of year again! Where the leaves change color and sweatshirt weather begins. But mostly it’s that time of year for Dogtoberfest to take over the winery again! Dogtoberfest is a fundraiser for The Clark County SPCA, so let’s come together as a community to support this amazing organization that does so much for the homeless animals of Clark County. The public is invited to bring their well behaved dogs on 6 foot or shorter leashes(no extendable leashes) to the winery. If you don’t have a dog the SPCA will be on site conducting adoptions. We will have a costume contest for the dogs with judging at 3pm. There will be a 50/50 raffle and a basket raffle all to benefit the SPCA. We will have Dogtoberfest shirt sales with a portion benefiting the SPCA. Pawz to Pose Photography, (an amazing sports photographer), will be taking photos of your dogs in the garage of the house next to the winery. And $10 from each photo is being donated to the SPCA. So make sure to get your dogs photo taken. There will be vendors selling stuff for dogs and people. Skip Hoyt will be singing from 1-4pm. Freddies Franks and Burgers foodtruck will be there serving their amazing food all day. There will be a bake sale with 100% of the sales going to the SPCA. Lisa our amazing baker is back and many other local bakers will be donating baked goods. So get dessert and take a bunch home to throw in the freezer to munch on all season long. There is also a $5 parking donation collected when you pull in the lot. This money is 100% donated to the SPCA! The winery will be offering wine tasting with a special souvenir Dogtoberfest wine glass for $15. All of us dog lovers know how incredibly loyal our dogs are to us. They surpass a loyalty to us that most humans could never achieve. So it’s no surprise that our new Dogtoberfest wine is named Forever Loyal! It’s a sweet cranberry apple wine. It’s like fall in a glass! It’s so incredible, but we have a limited supply, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it sold out that day. Do not sleep on this one. As there hasn’t been one person who has tasted it that hasn’t gone crazy over it. And the best news is $5/bottle we sell at Dogtoberfest is being donated to the SPCA. I know Dogtoberfest is a great day out with your dog. But it really is way more than that. The last couple years attendance has gone up but wine sales and donations are down. Please realize this event takes months of planning and work. Donations are down for non profits everywhere. Wine sales have been down for the last two years. So remember to buy lots of wine, and buy raffle tickets, t-shirts, have photos of your dog taken, buy from vendors, do wine tasting, buy baked goods. Remember we need your support. The SPCA needs the money and needs you to adopt the dogs. The winery also needs your support! We work incredibly hard every year to put this event on, as do our volunteers and employees. Let’s make this the best year ever. Remember you must pay in cash for things that 100% goes to the SPCA like raffle tickets, baked goods, adoptions and parking
