We are back for a 17th year! As always, the Run 4 Your Life 5k focuses on firefighter cancer awareness and supports our local firefighters. This event provides education and acknowledgement of the dangers and health risks that the men and women of the fire service face on a daily basis within the City of Schenectady.
We try to improve our event each and every year. Our Kids Fun Run will kick off the event at 10am followed by the 5k/Walk. We'll be located in front of the Central Park Pavilion in scenic Schenectady. This is a USATF sanctioned event put on by an RRCA certified race director offering the opportunity for competitive runners to come and compete for podiums, trophies, and PRs.
After the event come join us in the Pavilion for delicious, warm chowder prepared by members of the Schenectady Fire Department
The Schenectady Firefighters Cancer Foundation is proud to offer this family-friendly, community event.
All proceeds go directly towards the mission and the work of the Foundation, and in short improve the lives of Schenectady firefighters and their families when dealing with a diagnosis of cancer.
