This celebratory production of 1776 comes to life in the historic setting of Colonial Williamsburg during America’s 250th Independence anniversary weekend. Performed at the intimate Kimball Theatre, the Tony Award–winning musical brings audiences inside the heated debates, humor, and humanity of the Continental Congress as the founders struggle to declare independence.As the colonies inch toward revolution, fiery patriot John Adams pushes a reluctant Congress toward the momentous decision to adopt the United States Declaration of Independence.
