It's like "Hamilton"-- only better! We invite you to our "America 250" celebration as we proudly present 1776 (1972), a musical based on the Broadway hit about our Founding Fathers and the writing of the Declaration of Independence. William Daniels (John Adams), Howard de Silva (Benjamin Franklin), Ken Howard (Thomas Jefferson) and Blythe Danner (Martha Jefferson) star. Join the Revolution and see the original "No Kings" protest-- but leave your signs at the door! (148 min. 4K DCP)Special guest Steve Darnall, host of old-time radio's "Those Were the Days" (90.9 FM) will be joining us in the lobby with copies of his award-winning "Uncle Sam" graphic novel (illustrated by the legendary Alex Ross) available for purchase-- along with issues of the "Nostalgia Digest."
Patriotic pre-show music will be performed by organist Jake McDonagh starting at 6:30 PM. Doors open at 6 PM.
Admission is $12/$10 advance or $10 for the 1 PM matinee.
