Conference Synopsis:

Chronic infections contribute significantly to the global burden of cancer, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. From hepatitis viruses driving liver cancer to human papillomavirus leading to cervical and oropharyngeal cancers, the role of persistent pathogens in carcinogenesis is now widely recognized.This conference aims to explore the intricate links between chronic infections and cancer development, shedding light on the biological mechanisms, epidemiological trends, and socio-economic challenges that define this relationship.
Bringing together ten experts from the fields of oncology, infectious diseases, public health, and molecular biology, the conference will feature discussions focusing on prevention strategies, antimicrobial therapies, and public awareness. Special attention will be given to global disparities in infection-related cancer incidence and the urgent need for integrated health policies to mitigate these risks.
This conference invites researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and advocates to reimagine cancer prevention through the lens of infection control.
