Celebration! Exaltation! Emancipation! Please join us as we sink our teeth into Nature's finest bounty, and let the taste of joy roll across our tongues, for a Vegan thanksLIVING Community Potluck at a soon to be announced location on Thursday, November 27, starting at 5pm! This year's potluck will be hosted at The Zen Den of Gilbert!
Our annual ThanksLiving Potluck is an opportunity to enjoy an abundant array of delicious vegan food alongside members of our thriving compassionate community. Tantalize your taste buds and break bread with us as we partake in a delightful feast for the eyes, tongue, and body at this sumptuous event. You'll discover new and creative dishes, consisting of savory and satisfying flavors, from foodstuffs found only in Nature. Get Real. Have Fun. Enjoy Life. With us!
Please bring a vegan dish to share (no meat, milk, eggs, butter, cheese, or honey). We are aiming for a combination of appetizers, fruit and veggie salads, side dishes, main courses, desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages. For people not familiar with the term "vegan," that generally means foodstuffs free from animal products and their derivatives. This includes all dairy products, honey, and whey. Please bring an ingredient list to place next to your dish on the serving table (this is to protect anyone with food allergies and to share all of our delicious recipes).
Please follow the guidelines below if you are not sure what to bring:
A-J: If your last name begins with A through J, please bring a main dish or salad.
K-R: If your last name begins with K through R, please bring a side dish or appetizer (mashed potatoes and vegan gravy welcomed!)
S-Z: If your last name begins with S through Z, please bring a dessert.
Also, with a goal of keeping things eco-friendly, please bring your own portable kitchen tools: forks, spoons, knives, serving spoons, plates, bowls, beverages, napkins, etc. for yourself and invited guests.
**If possible, please also bring tables and chairs to support the community - if you can bring tables and chairs, please plan to join us an hour before the event starts to help set up the space with us.
If you have someplace to go for Thanksgiving, or if you're not vegan, please disregard this invitation. BUT, if you don't have a place to go, or if you would love to share an amazing vegan meal with the community, please do join us! If you know someone who is vegan who needs a place to share a vegan meal for Thanksgiving, please invite them by sharing this email invitation.
The event is FREE to attend, but there is a recommended donation of $5 to help cover the costs of renting the venue for this event. Plenty of parking available in the parking lot!
