Join Us for the 16th Annual Turkey Trot at the Antelope Valley Family YMCA! 🦃👟
Looking for a fun, healthy way to kick off your Thanksgiving? Come out for the 16th Annual Turkey Trot, a community tradition that combines fitness, fun, and a little competition! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a festive activity to do with family and friends, we’ve got something for everyone.
Thanksgiving Day (November 27th) will feature both a 5K and 10K run, giving you the perfect excuse to indulge later in the day. The race kicks off in the morning, so you can enjoy the rest of the holiday knowing you’ve worked up an appetite!
But wait, there’s more! Our celebration starts even earlier with the 1K Kids Fun Run at the Gobble Wobble Community Event on Wednesday, November 26th. This special event is designed to get the little ones moving, making it a great way for families to be active together.
We’ve also added some fun challenges to spice up your run:
🏢 Corporate Wellness Challenge: Calling all businesses and wellness programs! Gather your coworkers and compete for the title of biggest running team. The winning team will have their company logo featured on AVTA’s Stuff-a-Bus, helping to support local families in need this holiday season.
🏃‍♂️ Beat the Bird: Think you’re fast? Try to outrun the “bird”—a speedy runner in costume! If you can beat them to the finish line, you’ll win a prize, courtesy of AVTA.
