On July 14, the Nora Madelyn Fund for Infant and Child Loss and the Providence Newberg Medical Center's Perinatal Loss Committee will host the 16th annual remembrance ceremony for families who have lost a child or children in pregnancy or as an infant.The ceremony will be held in the Providence Newberg Medical Center's Healing Garden. Families will be able to release a butterfly in memory of their child or children.
The ceremony includes readings, music and the butterfly release, with a duration of approximately 30-45 minutes. A dessert reception follows.
Please RSVP by July 10 to [email protected] or (503) 537-1621 with your name, how many will attend, and, if you wish to participate, the name of your baby or babies to be honored with a butterfly release. We appreciate Facebook RSVPs as a show of support but if you plan to attend and would like your baby's name listed in the program and read during the butterfly release, please RSVP by email or phone by July 10. Thank you.
This is an in-person event. The ceremony will be photographed, but not recorded. Butterflies will not be available for pick-up. If you are unable to attend the event, your butterfly will be released by a volunteer.
