Get ready for some outdoor fun at the 15th Annual Palmetto Society Redfish Tournament! Join fellow anglers for an exciting day of fishing, friendly competition, and good vibes. This in-person event is perfect for everyone looking to cast a line, enjoy nature, and maybe reel in the big one. Don’t miss out on the action and community spirit—see you on the water! A portion of proceeds go to the Down Syndrome Association of Lowcountry (DSAL) & Gigi's Playhouse of Charleston.
Palmetto Society Redfish Tournament Rules
* All anglers wishing to participate in the tournament, and be eligible for prizes, must be registered
* Registration for this years Palmetto Society Redfish Tournament IS NOW OPEN
* Fishing Begins at Daylight on Saturday, October 11th
* Each registered angler will be allowed to submit one fish, of each species, to the weighmaster
* Only fish caught legally using a Rod and Reel will be allowed to be presented to the weighmaster
* Any child angler wishing to take part in the tournament, and also be eligible for winning the Youth Angler prize, must be registered as an angler, and be under the age of 12
* Any registered angler wishing to be eligible for any of the specific boat manufactures TWTs, must present photo evidence of them fishing on said vessel. Anglers arriving to the weigh in via boat, will be excluded from photo evidence, as verification can be made at the dock by the weighmaster
* All Redfish presented to the weighmaster must be within the "slot" as defined by the SCDNR
* All Redfish presented to the weighmaster will be subjected to a "pinched tail" measurement. Any fish measuring over, or under the "slot" limit will be disqualified
* All Speckled Sea Trout, Flounder, and/or Sheepshead presented to the weighmaster must meet all requirements, as set forth by the SCDNR
* Any species presented to the weighmaster not meeting a minimum length will be disqualified
* In the event of multiple fish weighing the same, the fish that was weighed first will be deemed the "tie breaker."
* Weigh in for the event begins at 3pm, and the scales will close promptly at 5pm
* There will be no protesting tournament decisions, as all final rulings are made by the tournament weighmaster
