The Marion Fire Department will mark its 150th anniversary with an open house on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9-11 a.m. The event will be held at the Marion Fire Department Headquarters, located at 100 Irish Drive.
The event will honor the rich history and promising future of the Marion Fire Department with a program and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m. A traditional engine “push-in” ceremony, a time-honored tradition that harkens back to the days of horse-drawn equipment, is also planned.
All are welcome to attend. In addition to complimentary light refreshments, breakfast items and coffee will be available for purchase from the Greenwood Kitchens food truck.
Additional parking is available at UnityPoint Clinic – Tower Terrace and ESCO Group.
