About this Event
Join me in honoring your Family Caregiver!
As a recipient of a family caregiver, I witness the journey that can be an inspiring, beautiful, and life-changing experience. Family Caregiver requires confronting serious challenges, making many sacrifices, and persevering.
A Family Caregiver's role comes down to patience, understanding, caring, and love for what you do. They are unique people with special skills.
The journey may consist of many disappointments, filled with bitter and sweet days, the journey comes with stressful and tiring times. The journey can be overwhelming at time, don't let the smiling face fool you. When a family caregiver continual to get the news of another health issue it could be crushed everything.
To my fellow recipients, my tips are simple: communication and a strong relationship with God can offer support to your family caregivers. They can feel isolated from time to time, encourage them to take advantage of the caregiving programs available, such as caregiver groups, connect with medical professionals, and most importantly, encourage them to take care of themselves. I can't say enough about encouraging them to take a brief moment out to avoid feeling stressed and burnout. There are times when we are frustrated because we are unable to care for ourselves, and family caregivers may not realize the anger is not directed at them. Watch how we say things and when.
- Most importantly, remember that your efforts to show your appreciation matter. Family Caregivers are the lifeline to their patients. Join others as Health & Awareness honors the 2025 Family Caregiver. Send your email request to [email protected] or [email protected] to receive your form. Feel free to share this with other recipients who would like to honor their family caregiver or share.
