Lubbock, get ready! The 14th Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade, hosted by Los Hermanos Familia and Latino Lubbock Magazine, is set for Saturday, May 1, 2027! This vibrant community celebration is the official Cinco de Mayo Parade of Lubbock, and it brings together families, friends, and organizations from across the South Plains.
Theme: “Lucha Libre”
We will showcase the famous free fighting" or "free wrestling" craze. Lucha Libre is the vibrant style of professional wrestling that originated in Mexico, famous for its fast-paced aerial moves, dramatic storytelling, and iconic colorful masks. Whether you’re designing a float or cheering from the sidelines, this year’s theme invites you to showcase culture, community, and fun.
Parade Details:
• Date: Saturday, May 1, 2027
• Line-up: 9 AM (Check-in location TBA – registered vehicles only)
• Start Time: 10 AM
• Route: Location TBA (Due to Broadway construction)
Who Can Participate:
Everyone is welcome—schools, bands, churches, businesses, nonprofits, veterans, dance groups, families, and more. If you want to celebrate Lubbock’s culture and community spirit, we want you there!
Spectators:
Line the sidewalks and enjoy a parade filled with music, color, and joy. Last year’s event welcomed more than 7,000 attendees, and we’re excited to make this year even bigger.
