140th Founders Day Family Festival!

Calling all Colleagues! Join Us for our 140th Founders Day Family Festival! Saturday 6th June 2026 -1230-1630 @ Sele School, Hertford.

The first recorded meetings of our YMCA took place in Watford in 1886, and this year we are celebrating our 140th anniversary with events to mark this monumental milestone! Saturday 6th June is significant as it is International YMCA Founders Day. International YMCA Founders Day, is celebrated on the 6th of June each year to mark YMCA's founding by Sir George Williams.

It is going to be a fantastic afternoon of live music, food, games, activities and entertainment for adults and children, all for you our amazing colleagues! (Please make sure volunteers in your team know they are invited too!) We will have food and ice-cream vans, and you are welcome to bring your own picnic.

The festival will have something for everyone; so all those who support you, your family, loved ones and friends are welcome, so bring them along! Don't miss out on the fun – come and be part of the celebration!
