For the past 12 years, Shocker Sociology has collaborated with other campus and community co-sponsors to organize and host the interdisciplinary Kansas Gender & Sexuality Conference, which brings together scholars and community practitioners from across our state.
Planning for the 2026 conference is underway, and note - we once again return to the Spring semester.
Be sure to Save the Date and start developing your presentation proposal. The call for abstracts is now open, with a priority submission date of February 4th.
The goals of the conference are to highlight the scholarly and creative works of students, faculty, staff, and community partners while providing an opportunity for interdisciplinary networking.
As always, the conference will be free and open to students, faculty, staff, and interested community members.
