12th Annual Hats Off Day Family Fun Dash!

Ready, Set, Dash!

Get ready for a joyful run/walk down Hastings Street that’s perfect for all ages and abilities—wheelchairs and strollers are welcome! Whether you're sprinting or strolling, this is a chance to get moving and celebrate being active with the people you love.

This inclusive event is free for everyone and part of the ParticipACTION Community Challenge right here in Burnaby! If you'd like to receive a Finisher Gift Bag, they’re available for just $5.

This short ’dash' down Hastings Street is presented by the Heights Merchants Association and supported by local businesses.

All proceeds benefit the Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society.

Let’s come together, have fun, and get active as a community!

START LOCATION: The traditional 3-block distance (Ingleton to Carleton).

ALL PARTICIPANTS LINE UP AT INGLETON AVENUE FOR WARMUP @ 9:30am. The finish line will be the same for all participants, just east of Carleton.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT OPTIONS: Click through to register and pay cash/etransfer for any Finisher Bags (while quantities last).

Everyone is welcome to join the dash for free; however, WILL NOT receive a Finisher Bag unless a Finisher Bag is purchased.

TEAM CAPTAINS: Children must have a Team Captain (over the age of 15) accompany them who will be responsible for ensuring each member of their team crosses the finish line.

Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. Please no recreational scooters, bikes, etc.

FINISHER BAGS: will be available directly after the race outside the Gulf & Fraser Credit Union Branch (4191 Hastings Street, Burnaby @ Carleton & Hastings) until 10:30am June 6 at the latest) OR to avoid lineups, pickup your Finisher Bag on June 5th, inside BEEM Credit Union. Info: ALL PARTICIPANTS PLEASE LINE UP ON INGLETON NO LATER THAN 9:30AM FOR OUR SPECIAL WARMUP. Race Officials will organize participants into rows of staggered starts, so everyone gets a chance to feel what it's like to be at the starting line. Once the race horn sounds, participants will dash down Hastings Street at their own pace (it's not a race) towards Carleton Avenue, where a team of Burnaby Firefighters will be at the finish-line to give you a hi-five! ALL FAMILY FUN DASH PARTICIPANTS WILL FINISH THE RACE JUST EAST OF CARLETON AVE & HASTINGS ST.
