The Cobb International Film Festival is a collaboration between Long Shot Productions, Ltd., East Coast Talent Agency, and the Earl & Rachel Smith Strand Theater.
The annual festival showcases a mixture of feature-length films, short films, and documentaries from around the United States and other countries, screening over four days and offering filmmakers at all levels the opportunity to share their work with new audiences — including titles viewers wouldn't normally encounter in traditional theaters.
The festival originated as the Marietta International Film Festival, with the inaugural edition screening 22 films in a single day. By 2016 it had doubled in size and duration, and a new partnership with Film Racing brought in top finalists from that global filmmaking competition. In 2017, the festival expanded further by launching monthly Indie Film Nights at the Strand Theatre. In 2019, it officially rebranded as the Cobb International Film Festival, with an expanded four-day format, a stronger international presence, and a full lineup of workshops and panels aimed at connecting filmmakers, actors, and audiences.
The festival is held at the Earl & Rachel Smith Strand Theater on Marietta Square each year and also includes the screenings and Awards Gala for the international filmmaking competition the "100-Hour Film Race" as part of the program.
Award categories include Lifetime Achievement, Best Domestic Feature Film, Best Domestic Short Film, Best International Feature Film, Best International Short Film, Best Local Film, Best Documentary, and acting awards for both features and shorts.
Attendees have praised the festival for its highly professional management, flawless communication, well-curated networking, and the genuine care its leadership demonstrates for filmmakers and audiences alike.
The 12th Annual festival is scheduled for August 6-9, 2026, with at least one presenter already confirmed — flying in from Los Angeles to lead sessions on finding funding for independent films.
