The Briar Patch is teaming up with Literacy Volunteers of Bangor and Darlings Ice Cream for Cause for the 12th Annual Children's Book Drive. Stop in and buy a new or bring a gently used book to donate. Early Chapter books are particularly in demand at the moment, so those would be great to donate!

PLUS! Children’s book author Jen Montgomery-Rice will read her newly published book Joe Bunny Spring to Life in the 11 AM hour. Jen was born and raised in Searsport, Maine, and now lives in Southern Maine. Previously, Jen volunteered as a Literacy Volunteer of Bangor tutor and board member.
ABOUT ANGELI PERROW
Angeli Perrow is a Maine children’s author residing in Hampden. She is the author of 24 books, including the picture book classic Lighthouse Dog to the Rescue and the award-winning Many Hands, published by Down East Books. She also wrote the popular Key Mystery Series for 8-12 year-olds and the Celtic Trilogy for ages 12 and up. Her newest book is Weather the Storms, set at a lighthouse in Maine and her first historical fiction for ages 12+. She is a retired teacher, artist and outdoor enthusiast.
