Celebrate the holidays with the (almost) 12th Annual 12Ks of Christmas, rain or shine! A wonderful time of the year to run from 1 to 12Ks while eating, drinking, being merry and helping the homeless along the way.The run starts with a champagne toast. Then a Christmas treat awaiting runners after every kilometer. Run as few or as many as you wish. Donations of clothes (including used running shoes), food or whatever else comes to your mind goes to Loaves and Fishes. If you are donating shoes, please wash them first and tie them together by the shoelaces.
I do ask for a $5 donation/entry fee to offset costs. If you don't feel like running, I can use 3 to 5 volunteers. Volunteers will be grandly rewarded and guaranteed a good time. Also, this event is in a quiet neighborhood with limited parking, so please carpool and be respectful when parking.
Feel free to share this with friends, especially those in local running groups who may not see this. However, please realize this is a fun, casual event organized as a thank you to the running community. And there will be booze. Therefore, please be discreet with sharing this event. And no children, unless they are really, really cool.
That said, please RSVP by December 7 (CIM morning) so I can shop appropriately. Let's have some fun!
