12k's of Christmas Community Run

Motivated in Motion and Loop Leisure Club are teaming up for our favourite run of the year! Grab your most festive outfit, bring a friend, and come loop the Country Hills Village Pond with us. Run or walk anywhere from one loop to the full 12k, then warm up with hot chocolate, treats, and Christmas prizes. Every pace is welcome and it's totally FREE! Just RSVP below so we know how much hot chocolate to make.

Event Details:

• Date: December 5th, 2026
• Time: 9:00 AM
• Distance Options:  1.5km to 12km (one loop or all 8, you choose!)
• Location: Meet at the gazebo at Country Hills Village Pond (beside Sobeys)

We'll have a hot chocolate aid station going in the gazebo the whole morning, plus treats to celebrate the season together. Dress in your most festive gear! We LOVE a good Christmas sweater, light up headband, or full Santa suit.

Runners and walkers of every pace are welcome. The route is a 1.5km loop, so you can do one lap, the full 12k, or anything in between. Come for a loop, stay for the cocoa!

The route:

We'll meet at the gazebo at Country Hills Village Pond, right next to Sobeys and Woody's Taphouse. From there we'll run loops of the pond, which is a 1.5km loop. Join us for one loop or go for all 12km! Our hot chocolate aid station will be set up in the gazebo, so you'll pass it every lap.

As part of our 12k’s of Christmas Community Run, we’ll be accepting donations for the Calgary Food Bank. Please bring a non-perishable food item to help support those in need this holiday season. Let’s give back to our community while we run together!
