The Audubon Christmas Bird Count is a massive citizen science project with a rich history and deep impact. You can play a part--and you don't have to be an expert! Participate in the Grand Rapids Audubon Club's count on Saturday, December 27, and end 2025 on an exciting, unexpected note!
The count will open with an optional meet and greet at the Wittenbach Wege Nature Center at 11715 Vergennes Se., Lowell, MI 49331. Meet at 7:30 a.m. to be ready to get out in the field by 8:00 a.m.
You may email [email protected] to be assigned an area if you are not able to meet in person at Wittenbach Wege Nature Center in the morning. Or, simply show up by 7:30 a.m. to be matched with an area for coverage.
The nature center will be open all day with clean restrooms and a drinking fountain available for participants. Lunch will be provided to counters at 12:00pm
