You Can Hike with Us is an inclusive hiking group for all skill levels. Our meetups are open to all adults (18+) who self-identify as women.

Winter weather is on its way, and there are folks in our community who could benefit from our help. This month we will be collecting new/gently used cold weather clothing items to donate to those in need. Items will be donated to Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, they will distribute to those in need.

Items in need (any size, gender or age group):

-Coats and or jackets

-Hats, mittens, gloves, scarves

-Boots, socks, foot and hand warmers

We ask that you only donate items that are gently used or new, please do not donate items that are ripped/stained/odorous. Donation is not required to attend, if you are not in a position to donate, that is ok!

We will meet near the playground, the parking area is right near the entrance of the park, just off Dell Road. Note: there are a couple addresses that come up on google when you search, use the Erin Bay one to get you to the correct location.

Cost: FREE!

To be respectful of time, we will do quick intros and embark on our hike around 10:05am. Please ensure you allow enough travel time to arrive by 10am.

Hike: Hike will take 1-2 hours, depending on pace and terrain. We will be completing the Rice Marsh Loop, which is 3.5 miles, and is paved and mostly flat.

What to bring: Hiking boots/sneakers with good traction, dress for the weather (layers are your friend!), sunglasses, phone/camera, water, snacks. This time of year trails could be icy/snowy, plan accordingly with your footwear.

Due to the larger group setting, no dogs or pets (unless they are working/service animals.)

We will cap sign-ups at 40 attendees. This ensures everyone joining us has a comfortable hiking experience and avoids negatively impacting the experience of others recreating on the trails.

Upon signing up for this hike you are agreeing to hike at your own risk. This organization (#youcanhikewithus) is not legally liable for injuries, damages, or potential covid-19 exposure that could happen to the individual.

If you don’t feel well the day of the hike, please stay home. We’ll catch you at a future meetup and hope you feel better soon.
