[11/08] COFFEE & CREATE: Hand-Painted Holiday Card Workshop (Watercolor & Ink)
Unwind, regulate, and paint vibrant holiday keepsakes in an intimate, restorative studio setting.
Join local artist and educator Jax Preciado for a cozy, 90-minute radical self-care practice at Kiʻikau Printers. Whether you want to paint custom holiday ornament art to frame and gift or simply enjoy a quiet, grounding morning for yourself, this open-level session gives you space to slow down and reconnect through line and wash watercolor.
How We’ll Create Step-by-Step:
• Color Warm-Up: Test washes and blend shades on practice paper.
• Loose Watercolor Base: Wash soft ornament shapes and leafy botanicals.
• Fine-Liner Detail: Layer crisp loops, stems, and linework over dried paint.
• Intentions & Accents: Add Gelly Roll highlights and write personal holiday intentions.
What You’ll Take Home:
• 1–2 Original 5" x 7" Artwork Pieces: Vibrant watercolor & ink compositions on archival 100% cotton paper (ready to frame or send as holiday cards).
What’s Included in Your Ticket:
• Full Materials Access: Professional 100% cotton paper, watercolors, waterproof fine-liners, Gelly Roll accent pens, and brushes provided for use.
• In-Person Guidance: Step-by-step instruction and 1-on-1 support in a cozy Kakaʻako printshop setting.
• BYO Beverage Friendly: Feel free to bring your favorite coffee, tea, or morning drink!
