About this Event
The 2026 Imagination Lunnchbox International Children's & Adult's Film Festival will host its ILICAFF/Eubie Blake Screenings/Awards and Filmmaking Seminar Saturday September 19th at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center in Baltimore from 1-5pmEST.
The screenings and awards will be held from 1-2pm and the filmmaking seminar from 3-5pmEST. Both will have virtual access via Zoom (link to be sent with RSVP).
The workshop presentations include Film Production, Scriptwriting, Directing and more. Speakers, so far, include Chuck Borden (Faceplant Films). His credits include serving as stuntman/director for Fast & the Furious movie franchise and the Star Trek movie franchise. In addition, we have film director Dwayne Buckle (360 Sound and Vision) who is currently promoting his new documentary Great Mysteries of Akhenaten currently streaming at TUBITV.com and available on DVD and Blue-Ray.
The ILICAFF event was founded by Anthony Michael Hobbs, a SAG/AFTRA actor who has amassed multi-awards for his acting, most notable for his role in the Emmy Award nominated mini-series The Abolitionist as a young Frederick Douglas. This role resulted in him attending the Emmy Awards for the series at 9 years old. There he was interviewed by ABC News. He is also a multi-award winning filmmaker with over 20 awards for his short films.
The Imagination Lunchbox film festival is a community event that reaches the world. Launched initially to screen and award short films made by children from around the world, it now includes shorts made by adults. The ILIFF event is presented by Imagination Lunchbox, LLC, a company founded by Hobbs in 2014.

Saturday September 19, 2026 (1pm-2pmEST): ILICAFF screens the shorts selected and announces the winners in all categories at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center in Baltimore. Virtual access link via Zoom will be supplied upon RSVP
Saturday September 19, 2026 (3pm-5pmEST): The ILICAFF/Eubie Blake Filmmaking Seminar held will be held at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center in Baltimore. Sunday September 20, 2026 (1 - 2pmEST): The ILICAFF Virtual Open Call Auditions will be held virtually, powered by Zoom, where actors perform out a very short monologue for a panel of filmmakers with projects on BET, HULU, Netflix, and TUBI. Directors on the panel, so far, include Author Mohammad (Chariiot Productions) whose notable credit is Cooley High, but has many project since on Netflix, Hulu, BET and TUBI; Nicole Butler (A&B Productions) whose projects, that include series, cooking show, and more geared towards children, and Dwayne Buckle (360 Sound & Vision) who is currently promoting his new documentary Great Mysteries of Akhenaten streaming now at TUBITV.com and available on DVD ad Blue-Ray.
Sunday September 20, 2026 (3 - 5pmEST): The ILICAFF's Open Court Basketball Community Games held at the UA House at Fayette in Baltimore. Both teens and adults play for fun, with head coaches from Morgan State University (Coach Broadus) and Bowie State University (Coach Brooks), and the community (Coach Winchester. They will be on hand with Imagination Lunchbox founder Anthony Hobbs (former AAU player and MVP of his HS team), now a junior at NC A&T University. The last standing team wins cash and a player is randomly selected to play one-on-one with founder Hobbs for anotehr cash prize!
