'Tis the season once more! 🎅🎄🎁As many of you are aware, The Harlingen Police Department is like an extended family to me ❤️. My husband, Michael, has faithfully served as a police officer and now as a detective with HPD for 24 years. This season marks one of the numerous initiatives they undertake to give back to our community, and it has become a cherished tradition for me to contribute by fundraising efforts for this special event.
I am reaching out to my real estate colleagues, friends, clients, and even those of you I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet, to consider supporting this noble cause. We're gearing up to bring some holiday joy to 85 children, the 5th grade students from 17 HCISD elementary schools, through a delightful day of CHRISTMAS SHOPPING alongside our dedicated HARLINGEN POLICE OFFICERS and our fellow law enforcement brothers and sisters. 👮♀️👮♂️🚓
We kindly request your assistance in sponsoring a child or more :). A donation of $125.00 per child will enable us to provide a Walmart Gift card to sponsor our children. Our goal for this year is to raise $15,000. Any surplus funds beyond the Walmart shopping spree will be used to provide "Turkey Dinners" to the families of the selected children, ensuring they have a warm and festive holiday season.
Please note that this event is not open to the public; only police officers will have the privilege of shopping with the students. However, if you are a sponsor who has contacted me or engaged in direct conversation with me, you are welcome to join us on the day of the event to meet the officers and capture some memorable moments.
We are accepting donations in the form of checks, cash, and through Venmo and Cash App, all to be sent to my account. If you require assistance with pickup arrangements, please do not hesitate to message me.
All checks should be made payable to the Harlingen Police Education and Community Fund.
