10.16.2026 Richard Powers teaches and DJs Stanford Homecoming Reunion FNW - Oct. 16

Richard Powers will be hosting and teaching, Angela Amarillas will be partnering the classes, and Richard will be DJing music from the 1990s in the first set, 2000s in the second set, 2010s in the third set, and all-time favorites in the last set.
7:15-8:55 pm - Richard and Angela (seen above) teach the pre-party classes.
Angela's favorites from last week's Waltz and More Weekend. Richard and Angela taught a workshop in the Midwest last week, attended by participants from 17 states, that combined waltzing, tangos, mixers and more. That was eleven hours of classes, and tonight's class will teach Angela's favorite 95 minutes of those waltzes, tangos and mixers that are do-able by all levels of dancers, yet still new material for FNW regulars.
This is an ALL-LEVELS CLASS, no dance experience required, just a fun-loving attitude and lots of enthusiasm.
Then after the class, many experienced dancers usually come to these rare Reunion dance parties.
9:00 pm - Throwback Friday Dance Party will feature Richard's favorite dance music from the '90s, 2000s and 2010s. Waltz, swing, tango, cross-step waltz, West Coast Swing, cha cha, Bohemian National Polka, salsa, Tokyo Polka, Lindy, NC2S, Romany Polka, hustle, bachata, Shim Sham, and more!
