After last years success of our 101 - HOW TO ZOUK TECHNIQUES series we continue strong in 2025.✨ 5. of April: HOW TO BRAZILIAN ZOUK FOUNDATIONS + COUNTERBALANCE FOUNDATIONS & CREATIVE VARIATIONS - with Saulo & Julinha ✨
We will have our Brazilian Zouk weekender with our guest artist from Fortaleza: Saulo and we will use this chance to combine our Discover Drill Dance Zouk weekender with our 101 How To concept on Saturday for dancers of all genres: Brazilian Zouk/Lambada dancers AND dancers of other genres: BachaZouk, Bachata, Kizomba, Salsa, WCS etc.

We will offer a 3h beginners bootcamp for dancers who want to finally learn Brazilian Zouk and want to learn the foundations in a fast track. In 3h we will cover the most important basics so you can already have fun at the parties or our ongoing regular Open Level and Level 1 classes.

- Going into the very detail of the foundation of counterbalances.
- How to lead & follow counterbalance safely
- How to enter & exit seamlessly
- Typical basic variations
- Tipps for a healthy and beautiful execution. No matter which dance.
- We will go into all the drills and all the little details, to finally make you understand this technique.
➡️ 18:30 - 20:30 [Advanced] CREATE YOUR OWN COUNTERBALANCE VARIATIONS | Saulo & Julinha (1,5h Class + 30min extra Training)
MORE ADVANCED concepts of getting creative and exploring how you can create your own counterbalances and effortless go from one to the other counterbalance, for everyone who already feels comfortable with counterbalance.
❗️ Suitable for everyone who already knows counterbalance basics and feels comfortable executing at least 2-3 different basic variations.
(If the foundations classes are done without major problems you can decide spontaneously to join the variations part)

✨ The teachers ✨
✨Saulo: is an international Brazilian Zouk teacher from Fortaleza (Brazil) he is known for his creativity, blending his knowledge in Brazilian Zouk, Lambada, WCS, contact improvisation and more as well as for his incredible adaptability, being able to dance with dancers from many different backgrounds.
✨Julinha: is the ZoukCologne headteacher at tanzraum and has been teaching workshops all over Europe, in the US and in Asia. She is known for her love for technical details, her drills and for keeping the fun up in class even with all these technical topics.
