An Invitation has been extended to HSAA and Classic Club, to participate or attend the only 100 Years Of Brisbane Speedway event that will be held at the EKKA Showground, following is the information for the event. please read and take note of the information highlighted in RED
The VSAQ is holding a static display in the Brisbane Exhibition Grounds main arena to celebrate ‘100 years of Brisbane Speedway’
The anniversary date is 16 October but the grounds will undergo massive changes after this year’s show and won’t be available at that time. The RNA is letting us use the grounds under very strict guidelines.
The date is Sunday 5 July with set up time from 9:30 am. The display will run from 10 am until 1 pm. We have invited members from other clubs to participate so we have a good cross section of the various divisions on show.
This will be the last opportunity for photos at the venue before Machinery Hill and the Pit area are demolished after the show.
Only people displaying cars/bikes will be permitted to park inside the grounds but you MUST nominate so we know you are attending. There is no entry fee and it will be free admission for the public. Unfortunately, if you do not nominate and just show up on the day, you will not be permitted to enter.
Please do not attempt to do a “shoot and run” as we have invited people to come along and enjoy our display. If you cannot do the time allotted, please do not nominate.
Parking within the grounds is for road cars with trailers only. Attendees must either park in the street or at the RNA designated Parking areas. (See RNA website – Brisbane Showgrounds Parking).

The speed limit inside the grounds is 5 kph maximum.
Covered footwear mPLust be worn at all times during the day.
No alcohol is to be brought onto the grounds.
To minimise traffic movement Quads will not be permitted
After you have lodged your nomination Bob Rogers will advise you of the final details.
Open to vintage/classic/modern speedway cars & bikes.
