St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Parish Association is pleased invite you to the Opening Display of the 100 Year Community Hall 2026 Replica Model at the following dates: Saturday 3 January 2026 Time 2pm to 5pm and Sunday 4 January 2026 Time 2pm to 5pm.
This opening display will take place at St. Elias Grounds, Community Hall and Church located on 17 Herbert Road at the Corner of Herbert Road and Rosetta Street, WEST CROYDON.
This is an inclusive display designed for individuals and families, and is open to the Australian Public. The aim of the Opening display is to share with our local community, to share in in social cohesion between our communities, while enjoying a range of family displays.
This replica model of the 75 Year old Church and the 100 Year old Mission Hall, will serve as a centre piece to raise interest within our youth, and awareness to the residents of the City of Charles Sturt. This public viewing promotes Family Togetherness and Inclusion.
You will see a Legacy of Resilience by stepping into the captivating world of Antiochian Orthodox Faith and Heritage, where a remarkable journey to Australia began in the 1930s. Come discover the involvement of the Antiochian Orthodox diaspora in Australian life.
We would like to thank and acknowledge the Discretionary Ward Funding from the Ward of Hindmarsh within the City of Charles Sturt for supporting this project. The funding has made possible the creation of the replica model, as well as the marketing to promote this display which is today the St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church and St. Elias Hall.
