About this class:
This is an exciting and immersive pottery class designed to elevate your ceramic skills to new heights. Whether you're a seasoned potter or have recently completed a beginner's course, this class will push the boundaries of your creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic expression.
What: 10-Week Int./Adv. Wheel Class
When: Meets every Thursday, from June 27th to Sept 5th from 6-8:30pm. PLEASE NOTE: Class will not meet on the 4th of July. Classes will resume 7/11.
Where: Erie ClaySpace, 1505 State ST, 3rd Floor of the PACA building, Erie, PA 16501.
The front doors to the PACA building are locked. When you arrive, please call this number (814) 520-5089 and your instructor will buzz you in.
*Accessibility: If you require the use of an elevator (we are on the third floor), please let us know ahead of time at [email protected], and we will have someone assist you with it. (The elevator is old-fashioned, and you cannot call it with a button.)

In this dynamic and hands-on course, you will delve into the depths of pottery, exploring advanced techniques and honing your expertise in the art form. Throughout the 8 weeks, you will receive personalized guidance from our experienced instructor, who will share their extensive knowledge, offer insightful critiques, and provide constructive feedback to help you achieve your artistic goals.
Explore advanced techniques such as altering shapes, adding handles, and creating lids. Develop a deeper understanding of centering, pulling, shaping, trimming, and mastering different clay bodies.
The class fee includes one bag of clay (25 pounds) as well as the use of reclaimed clay, all glazing materials, firings, and additional practice hours in the studio. Additional bagged clay is available for purchase as needed.
Ages 13 to adult. The class is limited to 9 students.

Open Studio:
In addition to class time, students will have access to the studio from 12-2 pm each Saturday. This open studio time is supervised but instruction is offered only during class time.
Notes:
We reserve the right to postpone or cancel classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment of 5 students. If a class is canceled by Erie ClaySpace, you have the option to transfer to another similar class or have your tuition refunded in full.
Refunds are available with proper notice. We are unable to give a refund for this class that is not requested at least one week before the start of the first class. Processing fees may apply. Refunds are not given for missed classes. Students may use Open Studio time to catch up and practice.
