She will hand out complimentary “guitar passport books” and the audience requests what countries they’d like to visit in the music and projected visuals. Her 20-string harp-guitar transports you around the globe, and Muriel sings in up to 10 languages. You'll accompany her on sailing adventures and virtually taste the experiences that led to her international cookbook “Acoustic Chef.” If you’re not already familiar with Muriel, you will find yourself smiling when you feel the joy of her music shining through a stunning array of styles. The first female winner of the National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship, Muriel Anderson has performed with Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel, Earl Klugh, Les Paul, and Doc Watson. Her 2020 release Acoustic Chef is a cookbook with a CD of music for each recipe. She recorded an album with the flamenco duo Tierra Negra, and her double-album, Nightlight Daylight, won eleven national and international awards. She usually plays a nylon string guitar and a Doolin custom 21-string harp guitar which has both nylon and steel strings.
She started “All Star Guitar Night,” which donates its money to the Music for Life Alliance, a charity she founded. Her music can be heard in Woody Allen's film, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,”and her album Heartstrings accompanied astronauts on the space shuttle Discovery.
