10-13 Fundraiser for the Haber Family

Come join us at Mulcahy's in Wantagh on November 23rd! Liam Haber, 3, has been recently diagnosed with Hunters Syndrome. This unforeseen circumstance requires weekly medical treatments and procedures. Please come support the Haber Family and let's fight this fight together!

1 out of every 100,000 - 170,000 males are affected by Hunters Syndrome.

For those who don’t know Thomas Haber, let me introduce him. Thomas Haber is a retired member of the United States Coast Guard and has been a beloved and dedicated member of the MTA Police Department for nine years, five of which have been with the MTA Police Canine Unit. When Tom isn’t at work or training with his canine partner, Twenty, he is an amazing husband to his beautiful wife, Kaitlin, and a devoted father to his three children, Annabelle, Liam and Timothy. I have had the pleasure of knowing Tom for nine years and I have never known him to be anything other than happy and devoted to his career, his canine partner and his family. There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing he and his family are. Tom and his family have always been the life of the party, they always lend a helping hand when needed and they go above and beyond, not only for each other, but for those around them. Tom and his wife, Kaitlin, received some unfortunate news this year. Their middle child, Liam, has been diagnosed with Hunters Syndrome. Tom and Kaitlin are facing this news head on and the only way they know how to, with a smile on their face. These unforeseen circumstances will require the Haber Family to take Liam to weekly medical visits. Liam will have to undergo many treatments and procedures along the way. In an effort to help alleviate any pressure off the Haber Family, this fundraiser has been scheduled in honor of Tom, his canine partner and his son, Liam. All proceeds received will go directly to the Haber Family. The Haber Family has always tackled every obstacle as a team, and I’m asking that we become part of that team and help them fight this fight TOGETHER.
