About this Event
1 day Paediatric Blended Learning Course (requires 6 hrs prior e-learning)
This qualification provides the knowledge and skills for first aiders working in early years environments. Learners will gain the knowledge, skills and understanding of Paediatric First Aid as outlined by the Department of Education.
EMT First Aid Training offers this 12-hour course either as a two day course (see 2 day paediatric course details) or as a convenient 1 day blended learning option; 6 hours prior e learning (online), followed by 6 hours in the classroom.
Pre Requisites
This qualification is for those over 16 years of age.
It is recommended that learners have a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
Attendees will be required to demonstrate first aid procedures as they would in a real work environment. This includes providing CPR to a casualty who is on the floor, therefore be physically capable of doing so.
This course meets and exceeds the requirements laid down by Ofsted, EYFS for people needing a 2 day, 12 contact hours First Aid course for Adult, infant and child. It will be of particular interest to teachers, childminders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care.
Duration: This course covers at least 6 hours of practical training and is usually run over 1 day. The candidate will also be expected to access the online materials provided after booking on the course.
Prices depend on the certificate option. You will be issued with a Standard First Aid certificate upon completion of the course or you can choose a Level 3 RQF certificate (an extra £10 charge). Both certificate options follow the Ofsted guidelines therefore are accepted by Ofsted. However please note that if the learner is doing an apprenticeship some apprenticeship companies are only accepting the Level 3 RQF option. The training is always the same regardless of the certificate you choose. To understand the difference between the two different options please look here https://emtfirstaid.com/rqf-vs-standard-certificate-options
