Ring in the New Year with a BURST of Color on a 6x6 Canvas!
Unleash your creativity in this hands-on painting class where you’ll learn two stunning acrylic pouring techniques: the Reverse Napkin Flower Dip and the Chain Pull. Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, this class will guide you through creating vibrant, layered designs bursting with color and elegance. You’ll discover how to craft beautiful floral patterns using the reverse napkin dip technique and enhance your artwork with flowing, graceful details through the chain pull method.
Working on two 6x6 inch canvases, you’ll have all the supplies you need, including paints, canvases, and tools. Step-by-step guidance and helpful tips will ensure your artwork is truly unique. Whether you’re looking for a fun experience, a relaxing outlet, or an opportunity to learn new techniques, this class is a great way to begin.
As an added bonus, The Arts Center will accept entries from this class for the 6x6 show. You can choose to donate a piece or simply showcase your artwork, giving your creations the chance to shine in a community exhibition.
Instructor: Debra Harlander, a retired professional portrait photographer (2018), began exploring various art forms, from watercolor to acrylic landscapes, before discovering acrylic fluid art in 2020 through YouTube. She now specializes in the Dutch Pour technique, inspired by Rinska Douna, and the Bloom Technique, developed by Shelee Carruthers, with whom she has worked closely to refine her skills. While the Bloom Technique is her specialty, Debra also enjoys reverse dipping, chain pulling, and crafting unique jewelry from paint skins. Her passion for fluid art continues to grow as she embraces new methods and shares her creative journey.
All materials will be supplied. This is an in-person class and masks are optional. Register in person or online here: https://salmonriverfineartscenter.square.site/
This discounted class is made possible through “Enriching Lives through Art,” grant, generously funded by the John Ben Snow Foundation.
