-8 hour endurance race. -4 person teams
-4 person combined weight minimum 760 lbs (If team does not meet minimum weight the lightest weight driver will have to add the balance to the kart on his or hers 2 sessions.)
-Each driver will have 2 sessions on track. Minimum time per session is 25 minutes. The maximum time per session is 60 minutes.
-Minimum age for drivers is 18. No exceptions
-North and South tracks will be combined for this event. This totals right at 1.4 miles.
-Max entries = 30 Teams
-No qualifying. Lemans start. Karts will not be running when 1st session driver enters kart. All 1st session drivers will be instructed of exact details prior to the race day.
--Saturday 23rd--
-All teams check in will start at 1pm on Saturday May 23rd.
-3pm will be kart allocation. At this time teams will be able to take karts to assigned pit locations.This will be by entry order.
-Teams will have 1 hour to verify assembly is good. Adjustments can be made to seat position, steering wheel position, pedal position and air pressure. Any immediate concerns can be brought up at this time.
-5pm Teams will need to complete a couple of engine break in sessions. Exact instruction on this when needed.
-7pm Catered dinner for all entered racers and staff.
--Sunday 24th--
-Race will be from 9am - 5pm. Rain or Shine
-Entry fee is $3000 per 4 person team. This includes use of new race kart, 4 drivers entries fees, tires, all fuel, pit space and Saturday night dinner.
-Payout is based off of a minimum of 15 entries with additional payout added at the 25th entry. We must have a minimum of 15 entries by end of day Feb 28th or this event will be cancelled.
15-24 entries the cash payout is as follows
1st. 10k
2nd. 6k
3rd. 4k
25+ entries
1. 15k
2. 8k
3. 4k
4. 3k
-All drivers must have and wear during this race a karting racesuit, closed toe shoes, helmet and gloves. Loaner helmets available at DKC.
-Teams are responsible for returning the race kart in a like new condition. Any major damage will be collected from the assigned team.
