🧚 Herbal Spellwork: Tea Blending with Magical Intentions
Schedule

UTC-05:00Location
Cafe Tamaki | Muskegon, MI
In this guided workshop, you’ll learn simple herbal blending basics in plain, accessible language—no prior herbal knowledge needed. We’ll explore a handful of supportive herbs, talk about how they interact with the body and senses, and then you’ll choose an intention such as calm, clarity, grounded energy, heart support, immune boosting, or something uniquely your own.
This experience is inspired in part by the work of Masaru Emoto, which explored how words, thoughts, and intentions may influence the structure of water. Since our bodies—and our tea—are largely made of water, we’ll work with the idea that the intentions we speak aloud and bring into our medicine truly matter, shaping both the energetic and embodied experience of what we consume.
Together, we’ll create a personal tea blend and learn a simple, repeatable tea ritual—turning an everyday cup of tea into a moment of magic, presence, and nourishment you can return to again and again.
This is magic that is warm, grounded, and human—rooted in plants, ritual, attention, and relationship. Expect a cozy atmosphere, gentle guidance, and meaningful community connection.

🌲 Who We Are
Soul Fire Forest is a small but growing intentional community and learning space rooted in West Michigan. Our mission is to explore what it means to live well in changing times by rebuilding practical skills, strengthening relationships, and working in deeper partnership with the land. We focus on community education, appropriate technology, permaculture, creative expression, and mutual support, with the long-term vision of helping families and neighbors become more resilient, connected, and capable together.
This work is led by Mike and Ally, partners, parents, and long-time practitioners of hands-on, low-tech living. Mike brings decades of experience in homesteading, appropriate technology, permaculture systems, soil building, biochar, and practical problem-solving using simple tools and local resources. He has been teaching these skills as a true wizard for a decade. Ally brings a background in homesteading, community building, education, facilitation, music, and relational work, with a deep focus on creating spaces that are inclusive, grounded, and genuinely welcoming. Together, they live these practices daily, teach from real-world experience, and believe that meaningful knowledge is best learned, shared, and passed on in community.
