🚣‍♀️ Lake Formosa Cleanup 🚣‍♂️

You are invited to join Central Florida Recon (CFR) as we partner with The Lake Formosa Neighborhood Association. We will focus our efforts on Lake Formosa and as long as there are no water quality alerts, we will be on the lake and on land picking up trash.

You do not have to own your own vessel to join us, there is plenty of green space around the lake to walk with a trash grabber and bucket. We have six kayaks to share on a first to arrive, first to launch basis.

If you have questions about this event, please contact us by Friday night BEFORE 9:00 pm. The morning of the cleanup we are loading up the kayaks and supplies and may not have a chance to reply on Meetup.

You will be asked to sign a Cleanup Event Sign in and Indemnity Waiver upon arrival.

The event is scheduled for two hours and at the end we will combine all of our trash, weigh it and take a group photo with the CFR banner.

If rain or heavy wind is in the forecast for the day of the cleanup, please check on Friday night for event updates.

Please bring a hat 👒 sunglasses 🕶 sunscreen, water to keep hydrated and a friend. See you at the lake 💦
