**Roger Price Junior** is a highly accomplished and published photographer who captures the vivid essence and unique charm of Central Virginia through his lens. Roger has been serving the downtown Lynchburg area faithfully for 5 years, leading photo walks and serving food and water to those facing food insecurity. His work has been celebrated in numerous galleries, including Madison House of the Arts. Roger is not only an artist but also a passionate community advocate. His storytelling through photography is a colorful tapestry that brings everyday moments to life, inspiring and uplifting those who behold his art.
**Christopher Townsend** is a professional tour photographer in the music industry with a keen eye for capturing the essence of live performances. His impressive portfolio includes work with bands such as Jimmy Eat World, Switchfoot, and Matisyahu. Christopher's photojournalist work documents significant social events, including Black Lives Matter marches, women's rights gatherings, and even the January 6th insurrection, where he recorded incidents of police officers being assaulted by insurrectionists. He has also compassionately documented runaways and homeless communities across the U.S., spending time with them to capture their stories. As the Executive Director of Madison House of the Arts and a single father of two wonderful children, Christopher dedicates his downtime to serving his community. His mindful approach to photography tells compelling stories that resonate deeply, drawing viewers into a world of heartfelt narratives and raw emotion.
**"As we become more present with what we are seeing, we begin to appreciate the beauty in our surroundings, and this, in turn, uplifts our thoughts and feelings."** - Inspired by Buddhist teachings, our program emphasizes the importance of mindfulness and clarity in photography.
