Join us at the Sutter County Library for a special Day of Remembrance author talk with Jan Morrill, author of The Magical Red Kimono and the historical novel The Red Kimono.🗓 Friday, February 20, 2026

Jan will begin the evening with a reading from her children’s book, The Magical Red Kimono, followed by a short excerpt from her historical fiction novel, The Red Kimono, and a PowerPoint presentation with discussion. Her work reflects memories of growing up in a multicultural, multi-religious, and multi-political household, shaped by her family’s experiences during World War II.
📖 Both books will be available for purchase following the event.
This meaningful program offers an opportunity to reflect, learn, and engage through storytelling. All are welcome.
