Every Monday & Wednesday 7.30-9.30pm Partner Sensual Bachata - All Levels Weekly Classes & Parties until late, with more than 10 incredible teachers Jan & Monikka, Ish & Mariana, Marcus & Becky, Paulina, Gisele, Ed & Becca, and guests. All levels split classes from absolute beginners, improvers, intermediate to advanced. *FREE First Class for New Commers to our Absolute beginners class! (pls DM me to register for a Free pass prior to attending)!

Jan Tabaka, an international teacher and founder of Bristol Bachata is hosting weekly classes and events every Monday and Wednesday plus teaches now at major bachata festivals in the UK and Internationally together with very talented resident and guest teachers - Monikka, Paulina, Ish & Mariana, Ed & Becca, Marcus & Becky, Giselle and more
⏰TIME:
- Registration opens 7.15pm (pay as you go or monthly passes)
- 7.30-9.30pm Bachata Classes All Levels (split levels 2hrs for absolute beginners and beginners with Ish & Mariana, Marcus & Becky or Ed & Becca, and 2hrs for improvers/intermediate & advanced with Jan & Monikka, Paulina, Giselle and guest teachers)
- 9.30-11.30pm Fun social dancing practice/party
💰PRICES (drop in, cash/card on the day or online passes):
- £12 for 2 hrs classes & social
- £8 for 1 hr class & social
- £5 social dance practice/party only 9.30-11.30pm

There is a cheap on street parking all around the venue, free parking available around 5-10min walk at Queens Square, Southville, and other nearby locations. Easy access by walking, scooter/bike/motorbike or public transport - there is great connection by public transport.
👉WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
The workshops aim at teaching you all the essentials of Sensual Bachata regardless whether you are a beginner, an improver or intermediate you will find it very informative and packed with great tips. It will help you learn the correct technique, preparation and execution of the dips, waves, turns, body isolations, musicality, connection and much more. It will help you learn and understand the essential moves and how to play with musicality to learn and improve your bachata sensual like never before. All moves we teach are leadable - we teach you the principles of following and leading, nothing is choreographed - we want you to become a fantastic social dancer 🙂
You will learn:
- basic steps, moves, technique and principles of sensual bachata
- body isolation, dips, waves
- fun and easy to lead moves
- musicality - how to interact with the music
- men's and ladies' styling
- how to connect with your partner and really enjoy your social dancing.
No partner or previous dancing experience required - open level class. Just come along and have some fun 🙂
WHAT IS IT SENSUAL BACHATA?
Sensual bachata was created in Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain, by Korke Escalona and Judith Cordero.
Korke learned the basics of bachata in 1998; then he started developing his own dance style by understanding how the leader (traditionally a man) could lead the body of the follower (traditionally a woman) to interpret the music. Sensual bachata is an independent dance form with strict lead and follow principles. The dance is an interpretation of the music with mostly circular movements and body waves. When the music has stronger beats, however, the dance also uses isolations and dips.
ABOUT US:
Main instructor: Jan Tabaka is a fitness trainer, acrobatics instructor and Thai yoga masseuse during the day and latin dancer at night for over 10years now 🙂 Jan has founded Bristol Bachata school 7 years ago after thousands of hours of learning latin dances mentored by top international teachers in the world, including masterclasses with Korke & Judith (creators of bachata sensual), Luis y Andrea, Gero y Migle, Kike y Nahir and many top teachers in the world. His passion has lead him to create a very unique never done before Bristol Bachata project featured on BBC The One Show and BBC 4 and now widely recognised as one of the major dancing spots in the UK. Bristol Bachata offers weekly Mon and Wed classes, private classes, events hire and big monthly parties, special masterclasses. You will also find us guest teaching at many major cities and big festivals all over the UK and also internationally (Spain, Turkey, Greece, Dubai and more).
