👂 Maya Bennardo 👂(she/her) is an active performer and composer living in Stockholm, Sweden. Maya is interested in opening the dialogue and blurring the boundaries between composers and performers, and is devoted to performing music of the present. She is a founding member of the violin/viola duo andPlay, described by I Care If You Listen as “enthusiastic champions for new music and collaboration.” She performs new and traditional repertoire for violin and piano with pianist Karl Larson in their Bennardo-Larson Duo and has previously been a member of the internationally renowned Mivos Quartet. She works closely with improvisers, Etienne Nillesen, Lisa Ullén, Erik Blennow-Calälv, and Kristofer Svensson where she explores subtle noise shifts, Justly tuned harmonies, and the close timbral relationships between instruments. www.mayabennardo.com

👂 Toniska 👂Helena Czerwińska-Drak is a sound engineer with a classical music background in piano and eurhythmics. In 2024, she began making music under the name Toniska -- searching for musical freedoms that drift between tonality and atonality, guided by musical intuition, venturing sometimes into entirely uncharted waters.
At 1000ears, Toniska will perform on the self-built Apprehension Engine - an electroacoustic multi-instrument producing eerie, ominous sounds, designed by Tony Duggan-Smith. The artist built the Apprehension Engine as a part of her master thesis focused on sound design in horror films and uses it for musical improvisations and sound design, creating music that plunges into the depths of dread and reverie.
