Connect with Your Local Watershed! 💧Want to connect with your local watershed? Attendees will have the opportunity to dive into a mussel measuring class or join Audubon Mid-Atlantic for a birdtour of the Strawberry Mansion Reservoir. Join us at the Discovery Center for an exciting event where you can choose between two activities:
🦪Mussel Measuring Class:
Become a "Mussel Maniac" and help measure freshwater mussels as part of our community science effort. This initiative, in partnership with The Philadelphia Water Department and Fairmount WaterWorks, supports our mussel propagation program, aiming to improve water quality in the Delaware River Watershed.
🐦Birdtour:
Join Audubon Mid-Atlantic for a birdtour of the Strawberry Mansion Reservoir. Explore this important stop on the Atlantic Flyway and discover various species, including dabbling and diving ducks. The reservoir is a crucial habitat visited by over 170 bird species.
Enjoy networking after the classes and meet fellow nature enthusiasts!

5:30-6 PM: Registration
6-7 PM: Mussel or Birding Class
7-7:45 PM: Networking
