Come join in this uniquely American tradition every 4th Tuesday at Godfrey Daniels! Shape-Note Singing is coming out of hibernation in Bethlehem! Join us every 4th Tuesday in South Side Bethlehem at Godfrey Daniels, and North Side Bethlehem every 3rd Saturday, from 3-5:30PM at the West Side Moravian Church.
Singing from the Sacred Harp ('91) and occasionally from the Shenandoah Harmony (2012) books. Books are available for loan or sale.
• This is a FREE community event for coming together to sing. All are welcome and no experience with singing is necessary.

🎶 The Sacred Harp tunebook, first published in 1844 in Georgia, is at the heart of one of America’s most vital homegrown musical practices. Within its pages, “Amazing Grace” meets the toe-tapping “fuging tunes” of early New England, all harmonized for four-part social singing and written in a unique and practical notation system. It's a wonderfuly uplifting community experience.
