Join us for the Ascent Fly Fishing Rod Building Class, led by professional rod builder Steve Vaggalis. Over two evenings and one Sunday morning, Steve will guide you step-by-step through the process of crafting your very own high-performance fly rod.

Base Rod Build Package – $499
Includes:
• Choice of 7'6" 3wt, 8' 4wt, 9' 5wt, or 9' 6wt blank (comparable to the Orvis Recon – $598+ value)
• Hardwood reel seat insert & aluminum reel seat
• AAA graded cork grip
• Chrome stripping guides
• Up to 2 colors of thread
• Rod label, sock, and aluminum tube
Premium Build Package – $699
Includes:
• Premium 9' 5wt blank (similar or superior to the Orvis Helios – $1,098+ value)
• Hardwood burl reel seat insert & dual-locking aluminum reel seat
• AAA graded decorative cork grip
• Agate and sterling stripping guides
• Up to 2 colors of thread
• Rod label, sock, and aluminum tube

• 3 sessions total (two evenings + one Sunday morning)
• Includes a bit of “homework” between classes
• Space is limited to 4 participants per class!
• Registration closes two weeks before the first session so we can order your materials
Once you register, Steve will personally contact you to help select your rod components — including weight, length, cork grip, thread colors, and (for premium builds) your agate stripping guide color — so your rod is fully customized to you.
